CXM to expand into South Africa with TD Markets acquisition

We’re pleased to announce that CXM Group has acquired TD Markets (Pty) Ltd, effective 1 October 2026. TD Markets is a well-established South African FX/CFD broker that also operates TDME, its crypto exchange. It is authorised by South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) as a Financial Services Provider under licence number FSP 49128, and has offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
This strategic acquisition brings together two businesses with complementary strengths. Founded in 2015, TD Markets is one of South Africa’s leading locally headquartered brokers, serving more than 50,000 active clients across Africa. TD Markets brings its FSCA licence, local brand, client community, partner network and TDME crypto exchange. CXM brings its international scale and trading infrastructure. Together, we share one goal: accelerating growth across Africa.
The acquisition gives CXM a regulated home in South Africa, with two regional offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. It also marks another milestone in CXM Group’s global expansion and in our vision to become a leading global multi-asset financial services provider.
What this means for TD Markets clients and partners
TD Markets’ brand, team and FSCA licence (FSP 49128) remain in place, and client accounts, funds and trading platforms are unaffected.

- Client funds remain held in segregated accounts.
- Platforms, logins, account types and withdrawal processes continue as today. Clients do not need to take any action.
- Existing agreements with introducing brokers and partners remain in place with TD Markets.
- Any future change will be communicated in advance, in line with FSCA requirements.

What this means for CXM clients
Your CXM trading accounts, funds, platforms and trading conditions are unaffected by this acquisition, and no action is required. As part of a larger group, you can look forward to a stronger presence in Africa, continued investment in trading technology, an expanding multi-asset offering, and more local market expertise.
Joining forces
“South Africa has one of the most developed financial markets on the continent and a deep culture of trading, especially in gold,” said Andrei Alekseev, CMO at CXM Group. “TD Markets has built a strong local brand, a talented team and a loyal community of traders. We are not here to change what clients value. We are here to invest in it: in liquidity, in technology and in people on the ground in Johannesburg. Together, we will accelerate growth for traders and partners across Africa.”
Amar Ramith, CEO of TD Markets, said: “Our priority throughout this process was finding the right long-term partner for our clients and our team. CXM’s execution, its depth in trading technology and its commitment to keep our brand, our people and our FSCA licence made it the right choice. Our clients will see the same TD Markets, with more behind it.”
Accelerating growth across Africa
In 2026, CXM was named Best Gold Trading Broker at iFX EXPO Dubai. This year we also launched 24/7 gold trading and connected our trading accounts to TradingView. CXM and TD Markets now plan to bring these capabilities to TD Markets clients, together with CXM’s liquidity and execution infrastructure.
We plan to invest in our Johannesburg and Cape Town teams as the base for accelerating growth and further expansion across Africa. TD Markets’ leadership team remains in place, and Amar Ramith continues as CEO.
